Oak Tree Project is a scholarship/mentoring program for Korean orphans who get into college. Students receive 500,000won (~$500) a month for their living expenses and are paired with a mentor who is committed to them until they graduate. The students are always thankful first for the money they receive through the scholarship. But as they continue with the program they discover just how important their mentors are to them. Oak Tree Project is not just about financially helping orphans get through college, but it is also about putting the lonely into families and teaching them ways to succeed.
